ricordia with brown jelly

Can I use Coral surprise on my ricordia with brown jelly?

According to their website it can be used.

This may be too far gone. This ricordia started to split once then a few days later it looked like it was going to split again. Yesterday I noticed the brown jelly but it was not until today that I remembered that I had the coral surprise. I sure wish I had done this yesterday. After dipping for 5 minutes it is in quarantine
