I notice if I don't rinse I have to clean the glass more often and algae builds up on the sand bed. when I do rinse I don't have these problems... but now if I'm rinsing nutrients away that the fish(not corals) would otherwise get, I'm stumped. I only feed frozen once a week. Live and dry on all other feedings. So maybe I'll stop with the frozen?

The only frozen food I rinse is PE Mysis (in tap water of course). Otherwise I just thaw and dump all others in.

Nothing wrong with rinsing in tap water as long as your tank is larger than a shot glass.
