Just finished a 30 day quarantine of a firefish, clown, watchman goby. Did a big water change this morning and fish all looked fine this afternoon. This evening just went to feed them and found the firefish went "carpet-surfing" through the narrow space between the lid and HOB filter of my QT setup. I even had a section of netting there to cover but it wasn't perfect after hanging a bag of cuprisorb in place to absorb residual copper.

Feeling frustrated.

Hey hey, I'm so very sorry for your loss. You most definitely were doing the right practices, and I tell you what - that is one super healthy lookin bugger right there! They will surely be missed.

You are going to be one excellent fishkeeper/reef papa moving forwards, that's for sure. I'm sorry you had to endure this!
