RIP: Radiator hose

Car started overheating and we weren't sure if it was sludge, a head gasket problem, maybe a fan/sensor, or pump problem.. Lets hope it's not a head gasket or something exotic like that. You guys ever notice that people who don't know about cars often hate them?

Anyways. I hate cars.

Quite the mild explosion last night. Couldn't have happened at a better time, backing into my driveway. Heard a weird popping explody sound but it sounded splashy (technical terms), lots of smoke, and lots of water gushing out of my car.

So here's hoping yet again, that it's a simple thing, not a complex thing.

Hope it's just the hose. Easy fix if that's all it is. And I love the technical terms;)

I think it's the thermostat after doing a little reading and being pointed in the right direction. If that's the case it's not too bad, but the burst hose is just a symptom not the cause.

I did the thermostat on my 08 trailblazer last fall. Took 6 hours. Had to take the alternator out to get to it. Wasn't fun. At all. I hate wrenching on my daily driver.
