is surrounded by fire, people have evacuated.

Building is ok and still has power to animals should be ok. Only air breathers are the penguins and even those have filtered air.

Situation in Gatlinburg is a mess though

I know ... sad!:(
I was just at that aquarium this past summer .. beautiful place.
Stayed in a beautiful cabin in the Gatlinburg area!!

To anyone in the area ... Stay safe and you are in our thoughts!!!

FWIW that cabin could be a gonner now.

just got a email from the aquarium. Some (like the biologists) were escorted back into the aquarium by first responders. So the aquarium seems fine.
