I'm looking to buy a bulkhead for my autotopoff that is gravity fed. I thought finding a RO bulkhead with a gasket would be trivial, but it seems every available option does not come with a gasket. Is there a go-to way to just get this simple item without having ot make my own gasket? I guess even if I had to buy the two separately it would be good enough.

I recommend not getting one with an adjustable float; the float adjustment can come loose over time and cause ATO inaccuracy!

I use this for filling my RO storage, but I'm looking for a way to get the tubing through the RO top-off container that would lead to a float valve. Unless I'm misunderstanding.

For some reason it doesn't come with a gasket, they know it's an issue because they explicitly mention it doesn't come with a gasket. I'm not sure why this is the way it is.

You can get common sized gaskets from the hardware store, or get a sheet of gasket material and cut your own. I also silicone some of my bulkheads (especially the 1/4" RO tubing ones that sit under water).
I use a bracket that hangs on the top of the tank for mounting my float valve, not sure if it would help in your situation or not.

I guess I'm just surprised nobody seems to sell them with the appropriate sized gasket since they basically need them. You put a layer of silicon on the wetside I assume just ontop of the bulkhead after it is installed?
That's a handy mount. For the moment I think I don't need anything, I'll have a float valve (actually the same one linked above) in the sump, I just need a way to tap the RO container without it leaking.

Thank you for the clarification! Yes, these tiny bulkheads and gaskets tend to be cheaply made, unfortunately…
I recommend getting a 1/2” NPT bulkhead fitting to use as your container wall seal, then reduce to 1/4” NPT, add a 1/4” NPT to 1/4” push connect adapter!
Or, of you can find one still; I recall getting 1/2” NPT to 1/4” push connect adapters a half decade ago!
All traditional bulkheads actually seal on the body side flange.
You can install the bulkhead either way through a tank wall; threaded locking collar can be inside tank, or outside tank.
Just always put your gasket/silicone on the body side flange, not the threaded collar side. The threads themselves are a leakage path around a gasket on the threaded collar side of the bulkhead!

What sort of container are you using that you want to add to water through a bulkhead, as opposed to just through the top?
I have used both of these types that you can buy from Amazon. The links won't post but you can simply search the names.

I agree that the pricing on Amazon appears crazy. I bought the pack of 5 and they indeed have an o-ring on one side. I sent you the exact link by DM.
Strange thing. I guess I deal with Amazon so much they now send me emails based on my searches. On that subject I bought a Geek 10 inch filter meant for RO ect. I was trying to make Paul Bs filter but have become distracted lately to figure out a way to load Dipterous powder in it. One was obvious but involved replacing the O ring quite a bit. So I searched for them. I could find replacements for lots of others but not mine. I was not happy and figured I woild have to abandone that plan. Well yes long story short I got an email from Amazon for O rings that would work. Not only that but were cheap. Just never know
