I’m looking fo an RO/DI system and am kinda lost. So looking for recommendations.

I have a Red Sea xl 200 has around 55 total water volume. I’m thinking about hooking it up with laundry room hose. The city I live in has pretty terrible so I’m assuming I need at least 5 stage. I’m thinking I’ll need a tds meter.

Im thinking of the BRS 5 state premium plus 100gpd system. Seems like it comes with all the accessories.

or

The Kleanwater 6 stage unit with tds meter from Marine Depot. Wondering if the 15% discount on filters is worth paying a little more upfront.

or

Or is there another unit for $300 or under that would be better.

You won’t need more than a 75 gallon unit with that small of a tank. I have the BRS 6 stage with a booster pump. Best to keep the water pressure about 75 psi pushing through the RO membrane.

I would go with a spectrapure or a buckeye hydro system. Call them with what your water source is and they will help you select the system you need.

I use the BRS 5 stage 75gph as well. I did a lot of research and the filters brs uses are far superior to what I was getting on my other rodi system. I am sure there are some other good ones out there but at the prices BRS has on theirs why go anywhere else.

the 5 stage is what I bought but upgraded to the 3 stage di so I guess it is now a 7 stage

I love the 75gpd system I got from liquagen. I opted for this version which includes a small reservoir, drinking water stage, and faucet to install in your sink. The drinking water from this is amazing and rivals any bottled water out there. I also love the idea of 2-for-1; something for your fish and something you can benefit from as well. The reservoir is nice because you can get almost 3 gallons of DI water instantly. My ATO is 5 gallons so when I need to refill it I only have to wait for 2 more gallons (assuming it’s completely empty). It comes with the shut off and flush valves installed, so that eliminates some of the install headaches with some other units.
