I'm looking for a device to be able to hook up to my ro system that will shut it off when the levels in the container when it is full so I don't have to set an alarm. Anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to fill up a 50g drum and just use that to make salt water for water changes but don't want to have to sit near it all day in order to fill it up. Is there a good brand that will cut the water off from my sink when the levels get too high and what brand would you recommend?

That's what an Auto Shut Off Valve (ASOV) does. You mount a float valve in your reservoir. When the float valve is forced closed by the rising water, the ASOV senses that and shuts off the flow to the RO membrane so concentrate ("waste water") stops flowing. You can buy this as a kit:

Another common option is to mount a float valve in your reservoir and install
1. a pressure switch on the tube feeding the float valve, and
2. a solenoid valve on the tube feeding the RO system.
You have a single 24volt AC circuit for the whole deal.

I have never had luck with my shut off valve that is supposed to shut off the ro system, but in theory a float switch could work.

We need @Buckeye Hydro for a suggestion that would work.
Thanks
Give us a call when you are in front of your system and we can get this squared away.
