Robert’s Dream Build

Thank you! I’ve spent over a year lurking in all the build threads on here trying to speak up as much knowledge as possible. Note to put it into practice and be willing to ask for help when I need it. I wish my wife would have allowed plumbing through the wall! I crammed an 80 watt UV sterilizer in the stand attaches to the underside of the top. Plumbing came out a little wonky and I gave up on color scheme after I had to cut out a few sections. Opted for white schedule 40 since I’d already greatly exceeded my budget…

I've not managed to get the green light on the hole in the wall yet haha but I've planted the seed after seeing several YT videos and build threads where people have utilised the rooms/areas behind the tank (or even outside) where they run things so that it keeps the tank/room with the tank very clean looking.

Coming up on 8 months. I’ve learned a lot. I feel good about the progress so far and really seeing some growth in my corals as I get better at not futzing or changing anything dramatically. I just implemented the seasonal/temp/lighting scheduled that Richard Ross used for his coral spawning experiments and my sps seem a lot happier already, greater polyp extension and color. May be purely anecdotal though… it’s only been 3 days.
