Rock AGA overflow cover

Does anyone here make or know someone who makes rock overflow covers similar to the following link anymore? Great way to hide an overflow.

On Alternativereef's site, they don't have these types of products anymore.

Yea it looks like he has some cool looking pieces. I wonder if he could do something with a overflow cover.

The public aquarium near me makes all their own backgrounds that could easily be made into an overflow cover.
He uses fibreglass and uses actual rocks as a mould shape so it looks natural. You could do a simple flat one that fits snuggly on your overflow, then make a second with a rock mould and glue them together. You could get all sorts of crazy shapes, caves and platforms and stuff like that.
I'm not sure how he colours them to look natural though.

tyler that sounds awesome, but I don't know how to work with fiberglass. I am hoping to find someone that is already producing these in common sizes for AGA tanks, since my tank is already up and running. I'd like to just insert it.

Have you considered DIY live rock and moulding it to the right shape?
After it's cured you could just slide it in around your overflow.
It would be 100% original so no one would have one like it, plus it provides a home for more anaerobic bacteria and a place to glue more corals!

Yea I would love to do a DIY application for it. The only problem is I don't have another AGA overflow lying around to base the mold from. I would love to make my own shape though.

You could maybe measure your overflow, then do a flat mould (my first thought would be a piece of glass and a sheet of oven paper to stop it sticking) like a large flat plate and cut the rock to size and epoxy it around the overflow. A bit of hassle, but it should look pretty good.
You could also buy one of those fake backgrounds and cut it to size as well. That's much easier lol.

haha yea I like the idea of a 3D real rock plan better. I am going to have to figure something out. Maybe a mixture of cement and rock, using measurements and some plexiglass heated to an approximate shape

If you do decide to do cement and rock, you should look into DIY live rock. The curing process is the same and DIY live rock might be an extra $10 to make and an extra 5 minutes to mix up, but it will look a lot more natural.
The plexiglass idea is a good one to get shape right.
