Rock Anemone babies & moving them

So I discovered about 10 baby rock anemones in my tank last night during my weekly maintenance. They are attached to the rock in a really horrible spot and I would like to move them or give some away to a friend. The question(s) is when is the best size and time to try and to this? I have heard that rock anemone can be a pain in the butt to move. Anybody have any experience doing this?

The last time I tried to move one I killed it, so there's some truth in the rumors you've heard about them being hard to move. They love to fit in tightly with the rock, so they will move their foot to where it is protected from all sides nearly. I would wait until they are probably zoa sized before trying anything with them and even then I wouldn't mess with them if their foot is buried in a crack or something in the rock. If they are on the flat side of a rock you may be able to wedge something under them and pop them off the rock. It might be easiest to just move the rock if it isn't too big or an integral part to your aquascape.

I have read that some people has luck tapping the rock and creating some vibration and it cause them to let go. Just wondering if anybody has tried that.
