Rock work

I have a cycle tank and I want to add more rock work to get some higher points closer to the light. Would my tank be OK if I just add some fresh rock that is not cycled?

I was thinking about just getting some dry rock from Petco and building up the scape a little bit

Yes! I've done this many times. The rock may go through its own ugly stage, but other than that it will be perfectly fine!
