I already know that I need to replace my resin, but is 2ppm tds really a cause for concern?

I would still use it, I've use water up to 6 ppm

It depends on what is in the 2 ppm, to find out you could have your osmose water tested. It also depends on what you are keeping in your system. Some corals are more sensitive to impurities than others. May system is SPS dominated with very sensitive corals so I would never risk any TDS being read on any of my RODI water, and I have the osmose water tested monthly using an Oceamo MS-ICP test to confirm my resins are not depleted or leaking anything into the system. For my grandmas tank that I maintain, it is a mixed reef with LPS and Soft Corals that are not so demanding so I don't worry about it and change the DI resin when the TDS meter is reading 1.

Thanks for the quick breakdown on that. I've got lps and softies, I won't worry too much about it
