RODI- tds higher output vs input??

How long has it been since the filters were changed?
Well that’s odd then! Did this just start?

I’ve had issues with tds pretty much from the start. Flushed the system with bleach, changed DI resin again maybe 4 weeks ago, it is 0tds for like a couple weeks, then starts going up slowly

It can’t unless something is hooked up incorrectly or you are measuring incorrectly

What makes no sense? To clean the system out. How does it make no sense? The owner of fountainhead water systems is the one who said to do this. Plenty of info online as well doing the same.

Might not hurt to measure tds of the waste water if you are able.
These numbers would tell you how the main parts are working. The mixed bed DI is only there to remove the little bit the RO misses.
Can you list your six stages in order the water flows through them?

Are you on well water, by any chance? Or are you making like a hundred gallons of DI a week?

You don’t need to clean an RO system with bleach
You’d be amazed at how much biofilm accumulates in every wetted part after the first carbon block, once the water is free of chlorine! — my second carbon block actually grows algae on the exterior if I don’t cover it with a neoprene sleeve, and I’m on city water!
That is interesting… possibly an issue of your city using chloramines?

That’s just what the guy that made the system I bought told me to do, and there’s a few folks with the same protocol that have posted it online. I had to clean it because I bought the system used and it had sat for months with water in the lines
Hmm… okay!
So, do you have a TDS meter post-RO membranes, pre DI? Or just on raw water in, and product water out of DI?
And to clarify; city water in is 56ppm, and the DI product water is 98ppm?
