I have a quick question when I make and store fresh rodi and salt water is it okay to store on a container with out a lid, like normally store my salt water in an old 10 gal tank and my fresh rodi in 5 gallon buckets with no lid

Thanks

I would cover them. You'll end up with dust and contaminents in there not to mention quicker evaporation.
That's kinda what I figured also I'll have to come up with a sealed jug that I can use and also heat at the same time

Yes, I have been using them for 2+ years with no issues. I have 2 that are around 32 gallons each.

I agree that a tote or solid garbage can will do the job just fine. You would be amazed at how much evaporation can occur in just a few days. Having an open lid would defeat the entire purpose of having the water pre-prepped.
