What is Rods Food, people keep on talking about it. Doesn't seem to be over in the UK yet so is it worth me importing a shed load of it?

Tell me more please good people from over the pond!

Here is a link.It is a rich foods and does wonders for corals.

It is the main food I feed my tanks and I always keep some for sale to my customer. When you feed your tank ,things that come out at night will come out in full light to eat.

It is pretty much an all in one coral/fish food. It is frozen. It has a very strong garlic aroma. Also has oyster eggs, cyclops, kril, shrimp, nori(I think),squid and a few other things. I do not use it yet. I am burning through my old food first. Pretty good stuff. It is pretty pricey but there are a ton of reefers in my area that search it out.

I think it started out as a home brew and just kinda took off from there.

I'm a big fan of Rod's food as well. I feed it to all my favorite Acans.

My club just makes our own. I brought home 4 quart sized freezer bags full for the same amount of money it would have cost me to buy 1 package of Rod's food.

Rod's is good. My corals loved it, but making a huge batch with friends and splitting it is fun as well.

We had lots of stuff in ours, including everything in Rod's food and more. It was stinky but fun and the person who guessed how many bags it would fill won a year's membership to the club.

We had a guy in our club do that years ago. He called it "Loaf"
He would have a Loaf party and everyone would pitch in to help make it. Never attended, but heard it was smelly. Haven't heard from him in years.

So now it's all Rod's.
