Roof Ridge Vent Help

Has anyone ever installed a ridge roof vent themselves? I'm planning on installing one and could use some advice or tips if anyone has any. I will be installing a Cobra ridge vent BTW. Thanks.

Did you also find in your research that you should increase the amount of soffet vents in order to maximize the usage of the ridge vent.

I did see that, but i have soffit vents around the entire house so i think i have enough.
