Thanks... he's (?) definitely a cool little dude.

Odd issue today, my tank is all cloudy. Ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate are all 0. I'm beginning to wonder if the caulerpa that hitchhiked and started growing wild may be to blame?

Possibly a bacterial bloom. If so, it will go away in a day or two.

Either way... I got my frags in today. One of them looked a little iffy in the bag, but I think it'll be ok (see below)... the other I'm not so sure about. It's a lobo and I can see what I assume to be skeleton? Anyhoo, I'll point it out down the list as well. Overall, I am VERY pleased. They are very small, but such awesome frags. I'm not sure I placed them all correctly, but I think I did. I'll try and get a FTS once I get it cleared up. You'll notice the pics are a little hazy... that's from this mystery white milky color to the tank. I tried to get a FTS tonight, but it's a little too cloudy to really see any detail.

Acans -

Nice tank. I'd hate to see you shut down the 40 Breeder for the 75 bowfront, but hey, atleastyou'll have a lot more space for your SPS.

By any chance, what camera and macro lens are you using? I love your coral pictures.

I think I've pretty much decided against setting up the 72 bf... I value my pictures too much.

Here's my setup -
DSCF9043.jpg

T3i, 100mm f/2.8 Macro, and a Manfrotto 055 X Pro B with a Vanguard SBH-250 ball head.

Here are 3 terrible pics.

First is one of my rics that popped out a new eye/mouth/whatever you call it
while I was gone...

Second is my acan that has 9 new polyps

Third is my terribly executed temporary frag rack

Nice looking tank and collection :) Ever figure out what had made your tank cloudy last month?

You know, I never did figure out exactly what it was. I'm pretty sure it was either my algae (see below for ID?) or my goby stirring up the sand.

Here's the algae. It has taken over my refugium, and my chaeto is pretty much gone now. This stuff came out big time while I was gone last week. I assumed it was grape caulerpa, but I'm not sure.

Here's a video from today. The POTM contest got me interested in trying some more video.

Great job on the video and love the music selection. Enjoy listening to bluegrass although don't really prefer playing in bluegrass groups.

Thanks! Had to choose one of my favorite songs for the music! I think I'm one of the few 24 year olds who like bluegrass ;)

They are out there, I play or at least trying to learn to play old time fiddle music. Most people my age are not familar with that type of music, there are some people around my age that play in the group that I attend sometimes. Next month I am going to a music festival that will have alot of people of all ages that will be playing old time and blue grass. Definitly a lot of fun.
