Round out my fish stocking list for a 60G cube

Here's what I have so far in my 2' cube (60 gallon) mixed reef:

• Mystery wrasse (my pride and joy)
• Flame angel
• 3 green chromis

Requirements for the final addition(s):

• Need somebody that will munch on the various types of macro algae springing up, particularly dictyota, but that's a stretch
• Enthusiasm from my partner, who has found all of my beloved fish up to this point mediocre at best, haha
• At least one should have a lot of personality
• At least one should be a rock cruiser, another should be a mid-tank swimmer
• Provide decent visual contrast with the guys I already have in there

Here's all of the options I've been considering, of which I'd add probably just 2-3:

• Tailspot blenny: Personality + algae eating + rock cruising, the trifecta
  • Particularly interested in the orange and blue variant I've seen here and there
• Mocah Gladiator clowns (ORA)
  • Single or a pair
• Peppermint Candystripe Hog
• Banggai Cardinal
  • Single or pair
• Blue or spotted mandarin
  • Very much on the fence with these guys, even though the captive bred ones will eat prepared foods
• Some type of flasher wrasse

What do you think of the options? What else should I be thinking about? Thanks!

I agree with the bangaii cardinalfish. They are pretty chill and swim in the upper third of the tank. Firefish gobies also swim in that upper third of the tank and are a bit more active than cardinalfish. They come in variants also for something with more pizazze.

I like the tailspot blenny but a midas blenny could also fill that bill and some folks like midas blennies a lot.

Have you considered a royal gramma? They are eye catching for a common fish.

I love a Midas blend but they’re not big on algae, and I really need an algae eater since I can’t fit tangs.

I’m definitely going with a tailspot blenny. Leaning towards the clowns in a host anemone as well.

You can fit a tang. A yellow would be fine. Tailspots don’t eat much algae at all. Atleast mine doesn’t.

Lucky for me High Tide Aquatics has some Tailspot's coming out of quarantine this weekend, so I'm going to snag one

Flame Hawkfish is not on your list but are such great fish and it hits this requirement: "At least one should have a lot of personality" and this "Enthusiasm from my partner", everyone loves my Flame Hawk.

For a dash of colour you could consider adding a Yellow Wrasse (Halichoeres chrysus).
