Hello Everyone,

I'm thinking of using the BRS ROX carbon for my aquarium. I'm looking for some mesh bags capable of housing this media without spilling it into the tank. The bags BRS sells are fairly large 4" x 8" is the smallest I see.

Anyone using this carbon have a recommendation for a mesh bag? I'd like to put it into one of my filtration chambers in my Nuvo 40.

Thanks!

I use Boyd enterprises chemi-bag. I use one on my 180 galllon and one on my 20 gallon and the size is great.

Just put whatever amount of carbon you think is correct in the bag, tie a knot in the bag and also use the nylon tie that comes with it to make sure the bag is secured closed. Most LFS and online shops carry them. About $5 for two bags. Size will work for virtually most tanks

+1 on the Boyd Chemi Bags. Been using them for ROX carbon for years with great results. Go to Home Depot and grab a bunch of zip ties as you’ll need a new zip tie every time you change out the media.
