Hi need some emergency advice for a badly injured Royal Gramma (photo to follow). I am new to this. Today I came back from work to find my RG badly injured it has lost its tail. I have quarantined but I am worried that this might not be the best thing for the fish. I am not sure it will make it. Any advice or assistance is greatly appreciated. Cheers

Pic is dark and blurry but I believe I see an area near belly
Can you repost using bright white light intensity or a you tube version video?

There isn’t anything you can do right now except to keep the fish away from whoever did this, as well as any CUC that might go after it.

If it survives the night, then you can decide if you need to treat for secondary bacterial infection.

Fingers crossed!

Unfortunately the fish did not make it. I am pretty sure it was the coral beauty (introduced a couple of weeks ago) was the culprit!! I am new to this, previously kept koi. I am concerned that the tank did not have enough rock work for both. Not a nice lesson to learn. Cheers
