Hi does this have to be manually switched to a battery or can you have both plug and battery plugged in so it’s automatic to change power source during an outage?

Hi,

You can use the included adapter to hook your pump up to your phone's power bank in the event of an emergency, however that needs to be done manually.

If you want full automation, our new battery backup will automatically kick in when power is cut. It wires inline with your regular power supply so your pump is on wall power when the battery is not needed.
