I know there had been discussion before but everything is so hard to dissect. I am looking for some magnets that are reef safe as well as thin rubber matting. I was going to use silicone matting from craft store that is used for baking, would you think this is reef safe? It’s food grade silicone and is for high heat baking so I would think it’s 100% silicone and no mold type resistor chemicals. Hoping someone has a source for rubber and magnet

Thanks

I use the silicone baking matts for my sump. Work great. And i think magnets have to be coated in silicone/acrylic/rubber to not leach .

I was thinking those baking mats too thanks! No issues with them? I didn’t know if anything that’s good safe is all I need to look for

No issues if food safe...and try to find an uncolored one.

Not too bad IMO. Especially considering their huge selection.

FWIW - I bought a handful of 3/4 x 3/8 from them about 5 years ago. Half were bare metal and are great in the woodshop. The other half are plastic coated. Some of them have been submerged since then and show no sign of the plastic leaking or breaking down.
