just noticed when cleaning the pump .. is that rust on the axis of my MP40QD and is this MP40QD axis made brass? If so, then I am not at all surprised that copper and zinc were constantly increased in the last ICP analyzes and I did not know where it came from.

I have 3 MP40WQD in my 220G tank and I’ve been getting monthly Triton ICP tests and none of those metals are in my tanks water after a year of running with minimal to zero cleaning of the pumps

This has been an ongoing issue and concern
Many state due to soaking in vinegar
Try muriatic acid instead

however, the axle seems to be made of brass. In any case, it looks very much like it in terms of color.

And now you make me a liar ;Dead

simple questions like this I do hope to answer but when it comes to specific customer service issues or a broken product it really needs to go through our customer service department, otherwise we really just end up doing the customer a disservice.
