i feel like the inside of an aquarium cabinet should be rust-proof, but this is what my RSR nano hinges look like after not even a month of operation. normal?

I think that’s not normal . Mine rusted only after like 6 months of use . Try cleaning it off with a metal sponge . And then protecting it somehow . Or just buy new hinges that are better quality .
If you haven’t hot any water on it by mistake and it has rusted on it’s own it could be due to the humidity in the room or inside the cabinet

Would have to say that doesn't appear to be normal for approx a month being up. My 250's hinges eventually looked like that, but it took 2+ years.
