You can become a supporter ($25 a year)
Under your name, go to account upgrades.
If you post enough helpful information you may get selected for the R2R Excellence Award.
You could also become a partner member ($100 a year I believe)
Article contribution.
Clubs.
A bunch of others i'm sure I'm missing.
#mods any help here with this question?

Thanks!

The partner member drive is a once a year, limited time deal.
The best way to earn badges is to become a supporting member and to contribute good information to the forums often. Helping and welcoming others is something we always like to see. Groups like ReefSquad are invite only, though we are always looking for candidates.

Sorry if this doesn’t exactly apply to this thread but what is the little green leaf on some of the avatar pics? Also when does your description change, I’ve noticed some say member, active member, well-known member, and on this page there are “totally addicted”, and “tank mechanic”? Are these given names by what you post a lot about or is something you can change if you don’t want the “member, active member,...”

If you go into your profile you can change what it says under your user name. The site will default it to something. But you can put your own in there as well. If you select your name on the top of the site and go to "personal details" it should bring up a new screen with your avatar and a text box below it. You can change your footer from there :) not sure the green leaf thing though? Maybe a new post indicator?

How does one go about getting a badge for a local reef club? For example, the Ocala Reef Club.

I think the green leaf means that person is logged in. Just a guess though.

Correct, the green means the user is currently online

Any idea how a club goes about getting a badge for members?

For example, @Babygecko1233 has the Tampa Bay Reef Keepers and I have seen others around the forum.
