Sabella's 450L mixed reef build thread

Nudis don't all lay in whirls.

I see a small loop pattern, so I too would think they were ceriths.

That's interesting to hear. Is it just Bergias that do this? When I purchased my Berghia from reeftown they included free whorls of eggs that looked like the pics on their website. I haven't seen any in my tank but I have a few babies, which is a good sign

There are others besides the Bergias that have circles. Some of the circles are super interesting in that they look like ribbon glued on it's edge. My lettuce nudis had circles, much like the Bergia. There's a few different patterns and some are just big ole blobs of string. The thing is, sometimes the bergias and lettuce nudis can try to lay circles on uneven and awkward surfaces. These eggs can have an uncharacteristic pattern, with disorganized attempts at circles.

Your tank is fire!!!!! I can't wait for mine to eventually look that nice. I just put a MH T5 combo on it I'm hoping to bring some of my sps back to life again

It's crazy how sometimes a coral just won't get happy in a tank. Don't know if it's chemo warfare or just reef keeping skills. I gotta admit I have had this happen before to me as well more times than I will reveal. But usually only with expensive frags. My jf flame likes high light and flow although I was told it preferred low light, mine definitely wasn't happy with low light. Always enjoy reading your posts and also very envious of your long list of rare and beautiful sps.

Thank you! Yep, still trying to crack the code. This tank zoas dont do well, lps are fine, sps are fine. Monti caps dont do well at all, fox flames just get very translucent and croke, tryed a couple deepwaters that did not make it past a week. Now if i put everything in my frag tank, theyll all do fine. Same rock same maitnence same perameters. Honestly now that i think about it, could be some type of warfare
