I was going through my sump tonight to change out the Purigen and carbon and saw this at the bottom. What are these sack looking things? I hope it’s not bad

I think so but they are in the sack. Maybe it’s not leftover food

So is that bad? I should probably clean out the sump of all the extra pellet food so my levels don’t go up

Lol ya definitely clean it out. On second look it could be detritus formed by that mesh when you pulled it up. Either way best to clean it on occasion.

May be sponge over food or bio pellets. To eliminate any possibility of foreign substance. Give area a light siphon vacuuming. If it is food pellets and is reaching sump, MAY INDICATE OVERFEEDING
