So I was shopping at my lfs and they had a coral banded shrimp on the brink of death.
I asked them what was wrong with it.
And they said its dying so we are actually going to take it out and throw it away.
I then said I'll take it and nurse it back to health
They end it off with saying no deal full price 30$

This shocked me I am in this store every day and sell livestock to them personally and they would rather just kill it than to lose a sale on it. I've never had an experience like this at my lfs and it sucks that the shrimp has to die.

Even Petco sold marine fish half off with warranty that were sick. I'm hoping it was an employee and not a manager you were making a deal with

They have crazy markup on some things. Mainly inverts. My 2 onyx percula clowns only cost me 60$ for both while a cleaner shrimp is 27

That's low. I remember a store I spent all my time in when I was starting FW, one of the guys sold me a two for one baby pirahna deal....one was in the corner beat up with one eye. That happened to be the one that didn't jump out of my tank. A year or two later I brought it back for credit. It started to get beat up again, someone else felt bad for it and bought it.

Thats unfortunate. Hopefully it was just she didn't know anything about the "fish side".
She doesnt know the fish side so it makes some things difficult. I'll be like "I'll take the candy cane coral there for 25$ " and she will reply with "no that's a hammer coral its 35 a head"

I despise people that pretend to know what’s going on when they know they don’t. It’s a weird feeling when you realize it.

My LFS had a master scoly for over a year. $1000 price tag. It would slowly get smaller and smaller each month until it was on the brink of death, I even offered $300 then for it, he said no, I went back a few days later and it was completely dead. Then he tried to act all cool and say he didn’t care it died no one wanted to buy it anyways. It really made me mad.
