Hi all, I have bought a Sailfin tang recently and I have now noticed that on its head there seems to be a bit of mucus or like peeling skin.
Any ideas?

Hi, can you try for clearer pictures taken under white light?
It could have gotten frightened and run into something. Have you treated it with anything yet?
Is it still eating?

Hi Bud, I will try it is not easy
This is what I was thinking like it's hurt it on a rock.
It is still eating and seems happy enough.

I have tried and I can't get a good picture.
I think it might have banged it on something

If it showed up all at one time, and it is feeding and not breathing fast, that is probably it. Just watch sudden moves around new fish, they can get kind of flighty.

That does look like a scrape/bump. It doesn't look infected, so unless it turns red, or starts to spread in size, I really don't think you need to treat it.
