Hey guys so I’ve recently got a Sailfin tang In a 125 tank and he’s not eating at all and he’s hiding a lot. He’s the only tang and no one seems to be bullying him so what’s going on? I’ve tried Green Nori I’ve tried a bunch of frozen foods and I’ve also tried flakes. What am I doing wrong?

Kinda hard to tell but it looks like he has a fuzzy white spot. Maybe it’s a fugal or bacterial infection? Probably would need some more photos in a whiter light, looks like you put up a video but for some reason I can’t play it.
How long have you had him? Did you do a quarantine? could he be getting bullied at feeding time, who are his tank mates?

That fish is really emaciated. Live brine might be worth a shot. It may be too far gone. Sorry.

If it’s not eating, it’s not a good sign. Brine shrimp is good just to get something in its stomach (esp if you already tried nori).

I would treat it in QT if you haven’t…General Cure to start with if you don’t see any visible disease (ich/velvet).

Sadly he passed two days after posting this I tried feeding him live brine but I think he was to far gone
