I have been using Salifert for my alk and Ca testing on my aquarium. I recently purchased the Hanna meters for both. I have been using the Phosphate checker succesfully for several months. I was shocked to get very different readings from both test kits .
Hanna Ca 570 , Salifert Ca 420
Hanna Alk 7.5 Salifert Alk 9.2
I did all tests several times to confirm results, also went to youtube to double check I was using Hanna properly making sure to clean cuvettes. All test kits were purchased in the last couple months and reagents are well in use date. What is going on ? it is strange that both kits are off. Any thoughts ??
