Also, this freshwater you added, was it tap water? If so, that could really exacerbate the “uglies” you were trying to fix.

just out of curiosity what are you using to measure your salinity? a hydrometer or refractometer?

@MZTICTX We have all done dumb things. You are the lucky one that had a good outcome. It's all good... you learned something very valuable. I suggest getting a refractometer instead of a hydrometer. Don't beat yourself up... you'll just have a good story to tell at your next frag swap.
