Salt Critters?

Hey y’all. I found this site salt critters. com and was wondering if anyone can give me a review on them? Specifically their ‘Their Choice’ rock flower anemones. $25 for a rfa is crazy good and I was wondering if the ‘their pick’ thing was just a way for them to get rid of the ugly ones or if they’re actually really nice. Also looking for people who have bought their other corals, particularly the LPS and softies. And if anything came in dead, how was their customer service? Thanks y’all!

It has been about 4 years since I bought from them. At the time the corals looked good for the price. But I have heard some negative comments about that vendor.

Had a poor first experience, wrote a review on the vendor feedback forum, gave Ryan another shot, was relatively happy though I wasn't thrilled with some of the color discrepancies of the rfa's I ordered. Placed 2 more orders since and both times had at least one or two nems look less than healthy and not make it past 2 or 3 weeks. Decided it wasnt a very good deal if I was getting unhealthy nems. It's always the nicest one of the bunch too. He's sending them out very small now as well, which does not help. Made my next purchase at a LFS and r2r sponsor @Reef Collective and likely won't be ordering from Salt Critters anymore.

I never did the random pick. My assumption is he has specific prices on some for a reason, they stand out from the bargain bin ones.

I was wondering the same as I have a RFA nano and was looking at there nems a few months ago.

Yep I love them. I have not had stuff come in dead. But very responsive when I sent an email. Usually in a couple of hours. I ordered 6 rfa.

I know this is a bit of an old thread, but I’ve ordered 10 rfas from Saltcritters. All have been the “our pick” ones and I was so pleased. The sizes really ranged, some were the size of a quarter and some were 2-3 inches across. Colors were vibrant and a great mix and all of them arrived healthy despite shipping in very cold weather. I’d highly recommend them. The price is unbeatable.

Just dropping in because I ordered from salt critters again and was super pleased. 4 mystery RFAs and a bunch of dirt cheap acans. Everything looks great! I think the rfas need another day or two to settle in before they photograph well, but here’s everything after 24 hours.

Beautiful RFAs and acans!!! Im very happy that they shipped well given that its the dead of winter. Sounds like you got a killer deal for some beautiful pieces!

I use them all the time inhave never had and issue with any of my anemones

I have bought like 19 different corals from them all frags soft,lps, and sps. All are doing great colors are over the top and I seen growth in about a 4 week time span some sps went from frag to rock colony. My tank is mixed reef sps dominant. I would recommend salt critters I bought 10 urfa their pick and all are different colors and they come alive at feeding time it is mesmerizing can't go wrong if wayer perimeters are right.
