Same coral two different locations in tank

Hey all was just messing with the gel filters I got pics alittle grainy it's late and lights are heavy blue and low. Could not help but notice the difference in the 2 pc rainbows. the first two pics one is high in the tank the third is in the sand bed. Still not sure where is best to place them.

Yep lower PAR gives it the rainbow effect. Higher PAR just turns it all pink.

Here’s mine when I first got it, and now after a couple months of sitting under a 250w metal halide. Not sure what PAR it’s getting, but it’s a lot.

Both pictures look less colorful than real life, but it definitely lost most of the green and gold under the higher lighting. Still a really neat looking coral I think.
