$100 off Ender3 printers at microcenter... so $100 for an awesome printer... I already got one. trying to get my dad to get me another coupon...
Is that new micro center costumers or new printer buyers? micro center has some great deals, but convincing the wife to let it in the house may be a lofty task. any advice there?

Bring it home and say "but it was such a great deal, I couldn't pass it up!"

"it was 50% off though!" then again, she did hear me complaining about being unable to connect the pomp in the rain barrel to everything I needed to... a printer would fix that quickly enough.

Dang it Sam! This sent me down a rabbit hole of how I could justify getting a 3D printer! Ive spent the last 45 minutes looking at various Halloween 3D prints. :grinning-squinting-face: :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Anything ever happen with the mysterious snail looking things on your glass?
they're still there hanging out. I haven't seen much movement / growth.

So my wife called from her conference this morning to make sure the kids and I were awake and moving. First question after "Are you up yet?" was "It'll be cheaper to buy it on Amazon then? Ok, I'll think about it." Let me state: I did not initiate any printer conversation this morning - it was completely her! Not necessarily a done deal but it may be coming soon!

As a woman and a spouse, I can tell you from reading that post, it’s probably a 99.9% chance that’s a done deal. ;) Congrats on your upcoming 3D printer.

Sweet! I am super stoked that you're already getting into designing parts!
It seems like folks who design parts end up using their printers more.

Also, Its a great mindset to instill in your kids... the ability to make stuff instead of buying it automatically gets them to think more about their needs.

- today I'm designing and printing replacement speaker covers for my brother-in-laws boat. he cant even find the parts to buy a replacement.

My wife loves me enough that usually if I come up with an idea she quickly makes it her own (if only to avoid the constant pestering)...

We'll, we're probably going to end up getting some Coding/CAD curriculum for the kids and that will require us to have a 3D printer which means we can use some of the scholarship funds to pay for it. We just have to decide if she wants a resin printer or a filament printer since she'll probably use it for jewelry stuff. She's crafty like @Mibu 's mom-in-law and she has some stuff she sells at a friend's boutique shop.

Gave up!
Taking the traps out. killer stays. promoted the fish from QT today! My daughter loves catching them.
moved the following to DT - (in my DIY acclimation box):
Yellow Angel
BiColor Angel
Bluespotted Watchman Goby (He has gotten a lot more yellow in QT)
Yellow Wrasse
Blue Eyed Cole Tang
Flame Hawkfish
sharknose cleaner goby

Timmy will charge the other angels from time to time but the most aggression I've seen is from the female clown!

I'm pretty amazed the Hippo Tangs didn't even bat an eye to the Cole Tang. I've heard they can be really mean.

FYI:
The DIY acclimation box didn't work for the wrasse or the watchman goby.
Some of the QT fish have been in for over a month and a half.

My Watchman gobies were frequent fliers over the overflow to the sump. I gave up moving them... they now are sump fishes...

Another Timmy feeding video!
TimmyFeeding-092522.gif

He periodically circles back and rubs his fins along my hand. It was quite unnerving the first time he did it because I thought he was going to spike me. Turns out its quite pleasant and I think its a sort of greeting because he does it whenever I feed him. Sometimes when I'm rearranging my corals he comes over and does it too. Could be a dominance thing too I suppose.
I was thinking of putting the watchman in the exile tank because its graveled; maybe if I have to fish him out of the overflow...
