Checked out my tank and noticed my BattleCorals Hyperberry did not handle the temperature transition well - he has bleached :(
I'm a ninny for running so hot for so long then changing so drastically. I haven't hooked up my Inkbird yet and the heater is a bear to adjust so I haven't till Wednesday...
Oh well; I knew some chips would fall; was just hoping it would be a setback not a total goner. And I loved the look of that one.
Got another used EB8 in the mail today; was waiting for that before the big rewire. I should have done the temp transition after that so I'd have more control.
On the plus side, There is noticeable growth in many of the other corals in just the few days its been normal temp.

I haven't posted in this thread for a bit - been busy with baby cardinalfish and getting my MP40s hooked up to my apex. More updates about those in my build thread. I moved around a few corals since last time and ham-handedly fragged some while doing stuff in the tank. Nonetheless, here is a quick tank movie @ feeding time.

I will be retaking my coral photos and will have an update soon.

I have been postponing these updates long enough! My coral growth has been lackluster due to a number of factors and I have been delaying my update here for hopes of having more to show in the first Month.
I have been implementing too many changes lately as I build up my equipment, and the tank is still young (8 Months) for SPS.
My high water temperature to grow coralline then my abrupt change back to normal levels was another big change I made this past month.

In any event, I have seen great soft coral and LPS growth with multiple buds forming on a hammerhead and the other splitting profusely. My Duncan has doubled in heads and the leathers that I thought were dead came back to life and are approaching the size they were before my salinity issues from holiday break. My Zoas are looking great and are spreading over their respective rocks.
Some of my SPS had hard times; I lost one of my favorite corals from my Battlebox (Hyperberry), and others lost tissue. Most of this happened due to my callus temperature change, some was from algae incursion and I lost a stick or two from snail-fall. A few of my SPS frags took off and have grown a lot while others have just fully encrusted their basses to the rockwork.

Either way, I have made a bunch of improvements to my tank and will be working on stability for now.... and my CO2 scrubber. I'll get some images up and will publish my first fishy Youtube video tonight with my NP unboxing video to follow.

All in all, I think my tank parameters are decent. The recent drop in NO3 and PO4 is from an extensive sump cleanout and water change. I had been harboring dead snails and the filter pad I use in the sump hasn't been cleaned since well before memorial day. These graphs are from the get-go, when I installed the Apex.

Some of my eye droppers have cracks down the sides making their measurements faulty if the tape I've used to patch them is broken without my knowledge. The Salifert tests are finicky but I have confidence in them provided I double-check my droppers.

probably the most noticeable growth so far is the tricolor sequelae or the superman digi

The birds nest has encrusted and gotten much bumpier:

The Paletta Pink tip I cant really tell; Its had a hard time with algae:

This fun unknown has been getting knobbier but I don't see as much Polyp extension anymore:

This coral has gotten thicker and encrusted:

My bubblegum digi frag exploded:

I thought this coral was a gonner from algae but it seems to be turning it around:

The main reason I installed my T5s. This coral is directly below my right Noopsyche and is blocked by rock on the left so it doesn't get enough light on some spots. The grey areas have started healing:

Starting to see good growth in the motis; I really need to frag them:

As commented earlier, I feel my LPS are doing very well with the lights:
IMG_0888.JPEG
They've bulked-up and either started splitting or budding:

My Zoa rocks have started taking off. Sickly zoa seem to be doing better:

My anemone split again too.
In conclusion, for this 1 month-ish update, I am pretty amazed with my growth given the external factors. I cant wait to see what the next month will bring!

I need to get another K7V3 for my exile tank! That way I'll be set for when I go to a 6' tank! ;)

A friend rehomed an Emperor Angelfish to me and he has been having a field day with my corals; I've had to move a bunch out of the tank to another tank I setup. Most of the stony and some of the lps are still fine in the DT. The pH boost from scrubbing is not as drastic as the graph above now that everything has settled down. With all the excitement of my renovation, the baby cardinals and winning a RedSea Reefmat I let my alkalinity drop; I've corrected and have upped my kalk schedule.

I installed an AquaLifter pump in my CO2 scrubbing apparatus because when the media canister gets about a 1/2" of water in the bottom from condensation, the skimmer has a hard time pulling... now it always turbo-charged. Its on the same plug as the skimmer and filter roller so when I feed it'll all get turned off.

Been awhile since my last post and I am 2 or 3 months due for a full update. I have been procrastinating on my report until I rent a par meter. I do however want to mention that I have designed and am selling NoopSyche lighting shades.
The parts I am providing is growing daily and I am open to developing parts for people so if you're looking for shades for your Noopsyche products, please check out https://www.parlaquatics.com/. Thanks!

Bro @noopsyche should promote these gifs on the website with a link to your web page for shade orders....
I'm in conversations with them. Am offering them a 10% discount code and kickbacks for putting a link on their page...
have also been trying drum up interest with the owners in NooPsyche @ my local reef stores. Have one of my lights at their store with a shade on it as we speak (they're lending me an XR30 to make shade for.).
