I've been running my Algae Scrubber 24/7 throughout cycling my 120g reef tank

I started with dry pukani rock that I lightly rinsed and thru it right in the tank

Let it cycle for 7 weeks before adding fish...

Started with phosphates .51 and now have dropped to .04 without any phosphate media needed
( ULR Phosphorus Hanna checker)

Just pulled the Scrubber for its first cleaning and WOW!! this thing is gonna be perfect for my heavily stocking plans..

How many lights did you run in the ATS during the cycling of the tank?

I really like your scape. And that is one beautifully nasty mat of algae...

Ran 1 first 2 weeks.. then 2 lights up until I added fish.. then I've been running all 4 every since...

Gonna have to put them on a timer soon due to my tank getting too close to 0 on phosphates and nitrates...

Test tonight showed .009 phosphates and nitrates were undetectable

Thanks, I just picked up a used one for a pretty good deal that I'm gonna use for my next build. It's encouraging to see it perform well for you.
