Sarcastic Fringehead

So i was watching Life last night and learned about the Sarcastic Fringehead. Not sure if anyone else has ever heard of this fish but i thought he was very cool. Figured i would share. Check out this video for a little explanation on these guys.

I would totally set up a 40 breeder with a chiller as an open sand tank littered with shells. Would be an awesome saltwater version of a tanganykin shell-dweller tank. Any idea how big those guys are? Couldnt tell by the vid but guessing sorta small

Would definitely be a cool specialty tank....It's says they grow to about 12inches LIFE : Sarcastic Fringehead : Animal Planet

If you do...you might want to consider some serious thick rubber gloves...I get mad at my clown fish for biting...imagine that thing biting you :crossedlips:

Any sponsors see this and can get ahold of one or a few? Considering their size but relatively benthic nature, I'm figuring an 80 or 120 flat would probably work. Could cast some cool aragocrete structures to replicate their turban shell housings.

Those are awesome! I like how the winner went over to the other shell just because he could and then went back to his, which was larger.

I pulled up some info that they're actually native to my area-so going to see if I can hit up some guys who collect locally and see what I can pull off. Not yet though- need to upgrade my frag systems first before worrying about a chilled tank! But if they're found in sea of cortez at all, I should be in luck and they shouldn't be too hard to keep (blue spot jawfish are from same area)

Has anyone come across a 3d printer blueprint for this fish. My grandson is really I,to the fish but I can't ever get anything,like that on the east coast for him but I know so,e guys that can 3d print stuff.
