For the past 3 days my Koran angel hasn’t looked so good. He’s been hanging out in the top corner of the tank, looking like he’s trying to get air. Looks tired, not a lot of energy. His color has faded quite a bit and his body almost has a molt like appearance. I feel like his entire face took on a more translucent - pinkish type color. He’s been in my medicine tank with 2.0 copper safe for 24 hours now. Not eating and just staying in the top corner and breathing fast. Another fish, an orange spotted file fish was added about 17 days ago… the angel didn’t show any symptoms until about day 14 or 15 with the new fish. No other fish seem affected so far. Any ideas?

This fish is prone to and showing signs of flukes. some symptoms will be loss of appetite, elevated breathing, gills red or swollen, loss of color, sudden darting or flashing and yawning as examples
PraziPro would be treatment dosed at 85% of recommended dose and allow it to work for 8 days, change water and apply one more application lasting 8 days and do add an air stone as Prazi lowers both oxygen and appetite

The new fish went from the quarantine into my display tank on day 15. Does this mean I also need to dose my display reef tank with prazipro? The angel is currently the only fish showing symptoms and he was in quarrentine with the new fish the entire time. (The angel stays in my quarantine tank all the time so he doesn’t rip up my reef tank)

With fish in QT, dose prazi in the QT tank

I agree, this really looks like flukes.

Most likely you will need to dose both tanks.

Here is an article on using prazi:
