Saving the Florida Reefs

It's long but very interesting. See how they are using the same equipment we use to spawn coral in their attempt to save the reef

Of course they are. Hobbyists/ reefers were the innovators who invented reef keeping and later the scientist started copying what we had done. It’s an unusual situation but the aqualung invention allowed folks to stay under water for longer than a breath hold. The hobbyists saw the submerged habitat and they wanted to bring it home.
Science saw it and they wanted to know more about it and the race is on to see who can get credit for saving it.
Never let a crisis go unexploited, seems to be a human instinct to derive profits and respectability from the existing situation.
