Oh trust me, me and the fiance go to war, but she wins every time haha. I get home from work and set it to 73 for a bit. Then she'll turn it back to 76. At night I have another ac just for our room that I set at 60 lol.
She isn’t upset that you’re opening a window and bumping up electricity cost? I guess she just likes it hot. Lol

With your house at 76, what does your tank stay at. I keep my house at 74 and the tank stays 78.5-80.

She shuts them sometimes when I'm gone. Or if the humidity seems higher or stupid hot outside we'll shut em.

It really doesn't affect our electricity bill much though if we do leave them open. Maybe $20/month. So it's not really a thing. She doesn't necessarily like it hot, she just thinks we'll break our central heat and air unit by running it colder than 73 lol

It stays pretty stable. I have our heater set to 79*

Apex always shows it staying around 78

Mine is the one opening the window. I say keep closed your gonna fry everything. Put ac there just cause of that. She thought it was for her new room lol.

Interesting how yours fluctuates so much during the day. Mines a smooth up and down.

It's probably the heater/controller I use.

I use this one

I have the temperature probe for it in the return section of my Sump, and the apex probe in the main part of the Sump.

We also have a large ceiling fan that runs all day. The heater controller always is around 79 but I usually just go off the apex for the main temperature if I'm curious.

Could be. I’ve got it set so Apex won’t allow the heaters to come on unless the water temp is 77. Then, One heater is set for max 78 and second heater for 78.5. By keeping the house at 74, the heaters never seem to have to come on Because the tank hardly ever goes below 78. In the summer, the tank may drift up to 80.5 if the house AC is not keeping the temp at 74, but letting it sit at 75.

Mine stays really stable except for water change.

I use digital aquatics to contol and keep thermometers set to 83. Also strip temp and digital themometer.
My 10g frag tank swings like 5 degrees. I have an inkbird on it on a 100w heater, not sure why it swings so much. I do leave the window in the office open so it gets cold at night, but this is like all day.

Also side note, not sure how people in Florida aren't all skinny. It's like living in a sauna, I'd assume people would be sweating their water weight daily.

Doing my first icp soon . Just did water change and chemiclean the week before. Should i wait a week or 2 ...or more.
I'd wait two. I just ordered my second ICP ever and had planned on waiting another week to send it in. I think I im three weeks out from when I did the Reef Flux? I just want to make sure it is all out of the system so it doesn't throw off parameters and skew the results and waste $50.

It’s called Pizza and Beer……..lots of it. And don’t go outside when it’s 100 degrees and 98% humidity unless your in the ocean or playing water volleyball.

Oh our temps 90+ all the time here in Florida lol. I pay a little extra in ac because of the windows, but not much. We keep the house at 76 throughout the day with all the curtains still closed.

Sometimes if it's to warm I'll shut them from 12pm to 7pm or do. But usually just keep em open
maybe this time of year isnt a good example but in 6months, it will be -15 out. which kind of throws stability out the window ha ha

Lol, makes sense. Just seems like even walking between places is a mini sauna session.

Yeah today it's been 94* here, working in the big hanger. Drenched currently, lots of walking and it's only probably 10* cooler in the hangar then outside.

I'm actually hoping it helps me loose about 20/30lbs I put on over the last couple of years lol

But a ton of people here are just lazy, and stay inside... Or they're like me, I'll go outside from 6-1030ish am usually then hide inside until 6ish when it cools down again.

My fiance is completely opposite. I grew up in Missouri, she grew up here. She goes out all the time at noon to 3 or 4, the hottest times of the day to do work in the yard. I'm always like you're crazy, wait a little until it cools down some. Then again I'm also a ginger so the sun and I are mortal enemies haha

I won't even go mow on our riding lawn mower during the day when it's hot. I'll do it first thing in the morning, or in the evenings.
