SBReefing Retro boards - opinions??

Looking for REVIEWS/OPINIONS on SBReefing Retro board per the lighting layout above. Good color? Good ZOA growth?

As you know from.my previous post ... I'm extremely frustrated with all the soldering I've done on my LEDGLE circuitboard.

I've bbq'ed soooooooo many 420nm diodes over the last 9mos ....only to resolder new ones that on each of my 4 fixtures that the soldering terminal on the board on, about 25% of those spots I have destroyed with my soldering iron. Cant even find an electrical connection on about 5 spots on each of the 4 figures

Sooooooo. I'm taking the $300 plunge and buying 4 new SBReefing retro board to drop in there.

Did confirm with SBReefing that 420nm lens get charred, tattooed & bbq'ed bc the lens is PVC plastic based. His 420 diode lens are silicone based avoiding melting burnouts on the lens

So chuck the LEDGLE circuitboards (but unsoldering usable diodes) and in with these guys from SBReefing.

I might have to take the LEDGLE circuitboards to the gun range and take out some major league frustration

Before you give them your money don't do it. I'm attempting to deal with them now. Got 2 of their lights in. One worked and one didn't. Been over a week now with no communication with them. Once he heard it was broke. He has not responded back since.

I paid by CC. If smthg doesn't work I'll have my CC company put payment ON HOLD. that'll get their ATTN.

I luv the power of putting a payment on HOLD in situations like this

Betcha if you call your CC company they'll pit payment on hold until your issue is resolved. Printscreen the 2yr warranty statement

I've been a member of Citi since 1985...they'll move mountains for me... I've brought them a LOT if biz transactions

I once held payment for 180 days until a dumbbutt seller woke up

I've got a sb reef black box and am happy with it. The blue channel looks purple but with the whites one as well the colors look very nice (I'm just assuming your board will be the same as my black box)

I have both SB Reef lights and have done the PCB upgrade on a Mars Aqua, and I'm very happy with their lights and the mix of LEDs. You should be happy.

Make sure one of these lil dude didn't fall off.

Also inspect each one with a magnifying glass bc if it broke loose it breaks the electrical circuit
