Looks like I have a good amount of pinapple sponges. I've never noticed them before. Kind of cool I guess. Couple of other pics. I misplaced my little clip on filter so need to search for it or buy another.

That's great sounds like your tank is teeming with life. Sponges are good.
BTW I got some free corals tonight from a local reefer and got a lawnmower blenny on my way home.
Oh yeah if you want you can get a build thread badge under your name. They started this two weeks ago I believe.

Thanks! I actually saw it and have been putting it off. I was going to reply that I would take care of it later. Glad I just went ahead and did it. Took 2 whole minutes lol.

I got a few heads of green tip frogspawn and 6-7 heads of duncan given to me this evening!
Got a frag swap coming up end of october, going to get my daughter an anemone for her clownfish.

That's awesome! I look forward to more pics on your thread. Man I think I'm about ready to buy some more coral. The only problem is my wallet hasn't recouped one bit! Between the new truck, the vacation, insert anything and everything here. Lol. Oh well. That is life.

Man this Goby is buring my Scoly! Lol hopefully he doesn't kill anything. At least I know he's moving around the sand lol. My cheateo has grown a lot also. I really don't ever tumble it or anything special. Darn aipstasia is on my macro algea. I have some aipstasia X, just worried about how small the aipstasia X is. Guess I'll have to see if I can't kill it.

heh, took me all of like a month to get over filter socks. i did buy an acrylic sock holder and a red sea cup thingy, so i toss some filter padding stuff in there. lasts for about a week and then i throw in out and then toss a new one in there. super easy. but i've also gone without before and i'm not sure i noticed any water clarity differences
Can you post a link?

Can you post a link?

https://www.marinedepot.com/high-flow-flexible-filter-media-cup-4-inch-sea-foam-white

then i bought either one or both of these

https://www.marinedepot.com/aquamaxx-100-micron-filter-pad

https://www.marinedepot.com/aquamaxx-50-micron-filter-pad

idk if my method is the go to method because i've always had fairly high nitrates and phosphates, but my water is clear at least! lol

it'd probably help if i were more diligent and changed the pads every couple of days rather than once a week.

Thank you. I think this might be easier for my son to maintain.
