So I finally pulled the trigger on my upgrade a couple of weeks back! Going from 75 deepblue to an SCA 150. The dimensions at the price point was a no brainer. Have been working on this build for some time now and thought might as well document the process. Will be posting some pics, enjoy!

First time opening her up! I'll say I was a bit nervous but everything looked great! SCA did a great job on the packaging and only took around a week to receive the tank

Can't wait to follow along and learn a thing or two. Curious... I see you went with a single overflow. What are your dimensions? I have a 72", 127 gallon on order and went with dual. I wrestled with the decision. Ultimately, I was thinking better oxygen exchange and more of a wave flow. If I place two return pumps... I'll have a backup should one go down.
That is a beautiful tank... can't wait for the unboxing!

Next up was the stand :) wanted to go heavy duty. 2 by 6 and 3/4 in plywood. Built like a tank. Sand, putty and painted flat black.

My external SCA 150 will be delivered next week! I’m a little nervous- it came from SCA to the port of Tacoma and is now on a ship I barge somewhere in the Gulf of Alaska...
