Sad day yesterday...got home and found my Naoko's wrasse on the floor. Little bugger found a weak spot in the netting on the temp frag tank! I was going to be moving them to the new tank this afternoon. :-(

Sorry to hear that =( I keep contemplating on pick up a wrasse or a Helfrichi firefish but cant get myself to put a screen on the tank. I feel like it defeats the purpose of this style of tank. I really do want to pick up a Helfrichi so I might give in and just make a screen =P

I felt the same way about a rimless tank but with artfully acrylic lids it actually does look very good. If he could have just waited another 24 hrs he'd been safe and sound in his new home.

I actually moved everything but my toadstool and rock nems to the new tank about an hour ago. Everything is opening nicely already. I'll take some pics after I get everything off the frag racks.

Jimbo, that is a FANTASTIC looking tank. Im a little partial to them myself (check my build thread). how are you liking that Hybrid light? I am really STRONGLY considering a swap from the Reef Radiance I have to a higher end light (LED or Mixed). I love the LED as it does not throw as much splatter light around the room, FOMO may be getting me. I do like the Radions now days and may consider that or another high end LED system. Anyways, looking good.

Thanks!

I'm still waiting for the mounting hardware to ship before I can get the Aurora on the tank...until then I've got an XR30 on it. Once everything gets settled in it's final place and adjusted to the tank I'll take some pics so we can see the difference between the radions and the Aurora.

Step one down...brackets are mounted. I ordered the wrong angle brace...I meant to order a 6" brace but ordered the 18" version. Got the correct ones on order now.

Quick update...everything in the tank seems very happy. I got the light mounting redone with the smaller angled bracket. Just got my dual reactor online this morning. Made a fish run Sunday and found 4 great fish! Red head solon fairy wrasse, orchid dottyback, tail spot blenny and a Talbot's damsel. All were very active and healthy looking and eating well.

I got rid of my toadstool and wellso / scoly or whatever it was and made additional room on the sand so I could rearrange stuff. I'm still working on placing everything that's sitting around on the rocks.
