I let my guard down and fell for a scam. Member Lumous sent me a PM in response to my interest in a pump I posted in a marketplace thread, offering me an open box for the same price. Without doing my due diligence, I agreed to purchase the pump from Lumous. Once I sent my information for shipping and the money via Apple Pay, I began getting excuses as to why he hadn’t shipped it 24 hours later. I then decided to go a different route, purchasing a pump locally. I told Lumous I changed my mind, and asked for a refund via Apple Pay. This takes all of 90 seconds to complete, so after a day had passed I inquired about my refund. I was given another excuse as to why he hadn’t done it yet, and then realized I had made a mistake dealing with Lumous. I left negative feedback l, and was then told since I had already labeled him a scammer he might as well keep the money. After this he told me to rescind my negative feedback and he would send the money, but not until after I “made amends”. I refused, but agreed to change my feedback AFTER receiving my money. It was then stated that if he got banned there would be no more means of communication for me to even attempt to get my money back. I gave him a deadline, he did not send it and now I am just going to have to escalate things beyond this forum.
