Scholarships?

While this may be the weirdest thing to ask online in a reef aquarium discussion forum, does anyone know of any scholarships for college that are related for aquarium keepers? I'm trying to find any scholarships in order to help pay for college.

For those of you who want to know me a bit better, I am 2nd year student at the University of Akron and my major is Biomedical Engineer with the tissue engineering track. After I have completed my undergraduate degree, I would like to go to medical school and become a physician or an Oncologist. I have been keeping saltwater for almost 4 years now and I have thoroughly enjoyed it from the lows and the highs.

If any of you guys know of any scholarships related to aquariums, please let me know!

Just from a quick google search, it seems that there are at least a couple of scholarships for aquarium keepers that involve an essay contest. The one I saw is already past the due date, but would be worth noting for next year! Good luck with school and your studies! I was there not that long ago and know the struggle of finding scholarships.

There are lots of new meds made from marine creatures and algae. Maybe shoot an email to some of those pharmaceutical companies and see if they bite.
