Schooling fish options for small tanks?

As my dream tank upgrade is on it’s way I would like to ask your opinions on what my options for schooling fish in a 60 gals display tank are? :)

The tank is a waterbox marine X 90.3

IMHO there is no good schooling fish for aquariums of any size under 300+ gallons.

Maybe not schooling, per se, but there would be species that could live in a group. Certain dartfish and certain cardinals might be an option.

What are the tank's dimensions?

I agree with the top. My cardinals, and anthias stay together for the most part. Dartfish should too.

I know cardinal fish are supposed to have a reputation for whittling down to one, but I was looking at these seale cardinal fish on biota that says they are good in small groups:

Those could be cool! Open water will give you lots of movement for sure.

Bangaiis will fight as adults, unless you have a m/f pair, but some of the smaller cardinals can be kept in groups.

Some would describe anthias as schoolers, but a group in a 60 gallon might be pretty tough to pull off.

I have a bonded pair of Captive Bred benagaii and a trio of Dispar Anthias in my tank.

The Cardinals will be together, and then get divorced to their own side of the tank often... however feeding time, they are reunited... and it feels so good.

My Anthias trio, the females are very outgoing, the Male is still a bit skittish, but is out now with his ladies, and isnt spooked by other fish swimming by. They are stunning too.

72, Dispars and a week thus far. Doing very well eating a variety of frozen foods i mix. Baby brine, brine, cyclops, misys etc. working on pellet training now.. Females eat them, the male is a bit more picky.

I have had my eye on the Ostorhinchus cyanosoma (yellow stripes cardinalfish) but never seen them in trade here i norway. Anyone have any experience with these?

Chalk bass. I have 8 in a 120 and there is less aggression between them than between my wrasses. I have also heard that mollies can be kept in a group nicely.

Sapphire Damsels, Azure Damsels. They get along well together. At least mine do.
Not traditional schooling, but often hangout in groups. Adds great color and movement in a tank.
