So, i was checking out this scoly at the lpcal lfs that being sold for 50$
Its a scratch and dent sell.
The scoly's flesh has receded by about...
Maybe 1/2 inch maybe 1/4 inch, all around. Not by much.

What im wondering is, say the scoly recovers. Usually if a coral loses flesh on the skeleton that skeleton is pretty much never going to be covered again with flesh.

But idk anything about scolies so i was wondering, since the flesh is evenly gone al around it, for the scoly to grow it would have to re-cover the skeleton right?

Basically im asking will the flesh re-cover the skeleton with new growth if the scoly recovers or is it pretty much stuck.

Sweet, then i got a really good deal id say if it recovers well
I bought the almost exact Scolly same colors but obviously different pattern for $42 but mine was in much worse shape than yours and over about the past two months it’s fully healed over and crusting the oldest skeleton but then got stung by a Lobo next to it so I start the process all over again ha ha
